Unfortunately, surgery is inevitable due to late consulting of the patients. All of the following problems are diseases that can be treated by surgery with high success if done by the right specialist.
Drop Foot Deformity
Injuries such as knife, traffic accidents, burns, may affect the muscles that elevate the ankle and toes or the nerves that stimulate these muscles may lead to a deformity called drop foot. The one can not raise the ankle and toes and can not turn the foot to the lateral side. This may be temporary or permanent, depending on the severiry damage caused by the trauma.
In the treatment of these patients, the active muscle behind the leg is detached from its location and attached to the ligamnets of immobile muscle. In this way, drop foot deformity and foot lift functions are corrected. In advanced cases it may be necessary to strech the Achilles tendon, which gradually develops severe deformity.
